PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Corbett and White, P.A. October 2009 – Present

Code Enforcement Attorney for the municipalities of Lantana, Palm Beach Gardens, and Royal Palm Beach; responsible for presenting code enforcement cases and the recovery and satisfaction of code enforcement liens on behalf of the municipalities. Assist with the representation of all the firm’s Palm Beach County municipal clients including Atlantis, Golf, Palm Beach Shores, Manalapan, Mangonia Park, Royal Palm Beach, South Palm Beach and Tequesta. Responsible for various aspects of municipal representation, including planning and zoning review, police and fire pension boards, real property issues and vehicle forfeiture. Also responsible for drafting ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other legal documents and handling litigation arising from challenges to code enforcement proceedings, ordinances, land use or other municipal matters for all the above municipalities.

Special Prosecution Unit, Appellate Attorney: Responsibilities included research and drafting state appellate briefs, preparation of state response to motions for post conviction relief and applications for sealing and expungements and attendance of belated appeal proceedings. Felony Lead Trial Division Attorney: Responsibilities included prosecuting numerous serious felonies and the training and supervision of junior attorneys to develop their trial advocacy skills. Juvenile Lead Trial Division Attorney: Duties included prosecution of misdemeanor and felony offenses and reviewing evidence to determine filing decisions. Traffic Trial Attorney: Duties included trying numerous jury and bench trials and arguing motions relating to the admission of key state evidence.
